NZOE 2000 LTD. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
NZOE 2000 LTD does not accept any responsibility for any act or incident by those providing or undertaking the services, especially in regard to injury, loss, delay or irregularity. The company reserves the right to alter tours and prices as required.
1. A 20% non refundable deposit is required to confirm a booking. A booking is not confirmed until a deposit has been received by NZOE 2000 LTD.
Bookings for South Islands Ski trips need to be made at least 2 months in advance to ensure transport; ski packages and accommodation can be arranged.
2. Full payment is due 21 days prior to departure date.
3.Weather;No refunds will be given in the event of a mountain closure except for ski passes purchased through NZOE 2000 LTD.
4. Insurance; the loss of baggage and personal possessions is the responsibility of the individual.
5.If volcanic activity on Mt RUAPEHU means that a trip must be cancelled for the safety of students and staff ,all payments will be refunded ,LESS THE NON REFUNDABLE 20 % DEPOSIT. (See Term 1 above.)

General Information about North Island Ski Adventure Holidays
Dear Parents and Students,
The following is for your information;
All need to be quite clear that this is a Ski / Adventure Camp.
Weather conditions control activities on the mountain and it is not always possible to ski everyday. A range of other Adventure activities are planned, should we have weather or other problems.
We have the options of choosing: Whitewater Rafting, Paintball, Mountain biking, Abseiling, Blackwater rafting, Canal kayaking, Hot pool Swimming, Horseriding and Indoor Climbing walls.

Chris Shirley and Frank Reeves
Chris and Frank are responsible for the overall running and management of the Camps..
Chris Shirley, Director of NZOE:- Dip T, TTC, Qualified Teacher, Outdoor Education Marine and Alpine Specialist, YNZ Instructor and Sailing Master.NZCLM . He is married to Julie ,the father of 3 x adult sons, a very experienced Skier and Alpine Teacher and skis with the more skilled students, anywhere on the skifields.
Frank Reeves Director of NZOE;-Is NZOE’s Company Accountant. He is married to Miriam and main job is to manage the budget on our adventure trips. On the ski fields, he works with the students at beginner level and is an excellent Teacher and leader.
Miriam Reeves ,Director of NZOE.:-Is the mother of x 2 adult daughters and is responsible as the Chaperone and Caterer on many of our camps. If we stay at Turangi Camp, we may opt to use their catering facilities.
Miriam is a wonderful cook, who has managed large hotel kitchens in the UK. Her interests are in providing plenty of healthy food for our Outdoor Adventure camps.
Youth Leaders
We are in the process of employing male and female youth leaders .These people are experienced and skilled skiers/snowboarders. Their job is to work directly with the students and to sort out teenage problems.
Julie Shirley, Director of NZOE
Depending on camp arrangements, she will be assisting Miriam.
Julie is the mother of 3 x adult sons and is an Associate Principal of an Auckland Primary School.
Group size 10-20 students
Week 1 Available for a small family, school or friends group only.
Week 2 Group 1 x 10 :10-12 years Group 2 x 10 : 13-17 years
Transport; 2 X Budget Rental Vans and trailers.
Driver; Chris Shirley .Registered under the Transport Service Licensing Act 1989 as a Certified Transport 0perator.Licence number 79240/01. Full C class licensed.
Driver; Frank Reeves Full C class licensed.

PARENTS SHOULD CHECK;
BY CALLING MOBILE 0274 987857 ON FRIDAY EARLY EVENING regarding the estimated time of arrival back in Auckland. If the last day is excellent for skiing or other activities, then we may not leave from the mountain until late in the afternoon.
Arrival time in Auckland could be close to 2355 Fridays
Bus communications;
There will be mobile contact with the buses on the journey home, so parents may call 0274 987857 if they wish.
Please ensure your child knows how to contact you at anytime during the holiday.
Mountain Transport: If conditions are suitable the above vehicle will be used.
If severe, a 4 wheel drive commercial vehicle from will be hired AT THE BASE OF THE MOUNTAIN

Facilities at Turangi camp are very basic but include a good drying room, electric cabin heating ,plenty of hot water, a central location and all other amenities. Hot Pools at Tokaanu .Male and female rooms are separate with staff also having their own rooms.
Meals; Students will be expected to work with the staff in the preparation of meals and the general running of the camp.Full or self catering may be an option we choose to suit numbers.
Lunches;-Food will be provided each day for students to make up their own lunch
Food can be purchased on the mountain, but this is usually very expensive.
Security; the cabins will be locked when the group is away.
Phone Cards; you may like to include a Phone card with your child’s personal gear or a cell phone.
Spending Money;
A Maximum of $100.00 spending money please .Credit cards and large amounts of money can cause us major problems.
The programme for the week includes;
DAY1 Travel to accommodation, Proper boot, equipment, clothing and Ski/Snowboard fitting ..Hot Pool swimming in the evening
DAY 2; each day are up at 7.00 am, share cooking and cleaning duties and are on the mountain by 9.00 am. For beginners they must have a lesson in the learner’s area with a Ski Instructor.Ski Instruction and assessment for all students each morning. The afternoon is taken up with students practicing the skills taught in the morning session.
Evening activities depend on fitness levels. Hot Pool swimming in the evening
DAY 3; Depending on condition we have the option of indoor or outdoor activities such as tramping, caving, hot pools, indoor climbing walls and games. Hot Pool swimming in the evening.
DAY 4 Optional day for skiing/snowboarding or above then travel home.
Dinner on the last night at Tifany’s Restaurant. Te Kuiti .BYO burgers.

SKIS BOOT AND POLES can be hired at Turangi
SKI CLOTHING
-some clothing is available from NZOE at only the dry cleaning cost of $35.00 pp.for a week. Please let us know what sizes are required. asap.
SNOWBOARDS
Students are welcome to bring Snowboards or hire these. The cost of snowboards and lessons is usually more than ski lessons.

We would recommend that everyone gets organized in Auckland or Hamilton BEFORE they go. The option is available to get gear at the Camp or on the Mountain.

Medical forms/Disclaimers; Must be e mailed to me, chris @nzoe.co.nz before the trip. We need to be well prepared should there be medical problems.
A student will not be permitted to go unless we have these documents.
